    Dental Assistant certificate

    Demand for qualified dental assistants is growing. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics forecasts that dental assisting will be one of the fastest-growing occupations over the next 10 years. Take advantage of the opportunities in this rewarding field and enroll in Dental Assistant school.

    Limited Medical Radiologic Tech-Cert

    The Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist program at CHCP provides quality training to students who are interested in a highly focused and technical medical position. A limited medical radiologic technician role is very specialized but they still work closely with patients.

    According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, career opportunities for people with Medical Technician training from radiology schools will grow faster than average for all occupations through 2012 due to enhancements in imaging technology, a shift to outpatient care and growth in the demand for diagnostic imaging.



    Medical Assistant-Cert

    Medical assistant training is beneficial to your career. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that employment of medical assistants will grow much faster than average through the year 2014. Plus, once you’ve completed Medical Assistant training in Texas, you’re eligible to become a Certified Medical Assistant through The American Association of Medical Assistants.



    Medical Coding & Billing-Health Information Technology Cert.

    With a career in Medical Coding and Billing – Health Information Technology, you can obtain the independence, professional environment, and mentally stimulating responsibilities you have been seeking. When you choose to get your MCB-HIT training from The College of Health Care Professions, you will be poised to join motivated health care teams at hospitals, nursing facilities, physician offices and many more.

    When you get your MCB-HIT training from CHCP, you attend an externship site, where you will receive hands-on administrative training. Students will also review necessary competencies required to take an entry level certification exam in coding and medical records. After you graduate, you will be qualified to collect and organize medical information and data from patients, physicians, and other health care providers.

    In your career as a MCB-HIT graduate, you will be responsible for completing medical billing forms, filing medical insurance claims, both manually and by automation, practical application of CPT-4, ICD-9/10 and HCPCS codes as well as record-keeping practices for both the hospital and physician offices, procedures in content and filing of patient medical records, and use of a variety of filing systems which include alpha and numeric.
